Setting up Data for Attendance Module
Before using the Time and Attendance module, it is necessary to prepare the master data that defines your production environment and workforce structure.
This setup ensures that all attendance and shift information is accurate, traceable, and automatically synchronized with other Productoo modules such as Production Control.
The configuration of master data is typically done once during the initial implementation phase, and then maintained by administrators or planners as organizational changes occur.
What Is Master Data
In the context of Time and Attendance, master data represents the static or semi-static information used across the entire system to manage people, time, and resources.
This includes:
Organizational structure – cost centers, production lines, and workstations
Shift calendars – working patterns and break schedules for each production area
Users – Operators and Team Leaders participating in production and their identification data (PIN, RFID)
Skill Matrix – qualifications of each operator for specific lines or operations
Once these elements are defined, the system can automatically generate attendance records, validate operator assignments, and provide correct reporting and payroll data.
Data Preparation Workflow
The following workflow summarizes the recommended steps for setting up master data:
Prepare Source Data Templates
Download or copy the provided Google Sheets template.
Each sheet corresponds to a data type (Operators, Cost Centers, Skills, Calendars). Once filled, export each tab as a CSV file.Import Data into the System
Upload the CSV files into Productoo through the Configuration Studio module. The import wizard validates data and establishes necessary relations.Create or Adjust Shift Calendars
Define the daily or weekly structure of working time, including shift start/end times and breaks.Assign Calendars to Production Lines
Link each calendar to the corresponding production line or workstation to ensure correct attendance tracking.

Tips for a Successful Setup
Always import data in the recommended order: Cost Centers → Operators → Team relations etc..
Ensure all identifiers (Codes, names) are consistent across CSV files to avoid import errors.
After import, verify the setup using the Parametrization module.
Any missing master data may result in incomplete attendance logs or missing records in reports.
