Productio Lines - Long Line
The Long line is a parameter that is used so that individual production lines can be "assembled" behind each other into a chain or tree. Production lines can arrange into a simple chain or a more complex one.
For example:
When creating 5 production lines and enabling the Long lines checkbox, only the last line of the chain is displayed when assigning from the distribution table in Production control. As soon as you assign it, the procedure searches the whole chain, finds the first station, and places the PI in the queue of the first station. As soon as you declare production at the first station, the PI will move to the queue of the next one, and this way it will go through the entire chain, and the final completion of the PI will take place at the very last line.

To create a long line chain we need to enable the checkbox in the section “Long line”, to display a table with a selection bar in which we choose the production line. We select production lines that are linked to our line and set up the default line.
The “Default” parameter specifies the primary line to be followed by production. If there are more following lines on which the Production Item can be processed, the line with the Default parameter will be automatically selected. If no following line is marked in this way and the Production Item can be processed on several lines listed here, it will automatically continue to the line with the shortest production queue.
The last button “Show production long line structure” displays the diagram of the Long line that we set up. In this diagram the default line is blue-colored.
