Quality Processes

Purpose & Scope

The Quality Module ensures that every material batch—whether received from suppliers or produced in‑house—meets the predefined quality standards before it moves further in the supply chain. The module covers creation, execution, evaluation, and archival of quality checks generated from Inbound Receiving and Production processes.

Audience

  • Warehouse operators

  • Quality inspectors/lab technicians

  • Production operators & shift leaders

  • Production controllers/quality managers

When Are Quality Checks Generated?

Typical Responsible Role

Inbound delivery

Goods receipt on Warehouse module

System creates Q‑checks for every material that has “Requires QC” flag. The received material batch gains status Waiting for quality check.

Warehouse operator → Quality inspector

Production instruction

Specific production instruction requires QC

System generates a Q‑check for the WIP batch at that operation.

Production operator → Quality inspector

Lifecycle & Statuses

  1. quality test created – Q‑check record exists but no measurement yet.

  2. waiting for measurement – Appears in Quality Check View list.

  3. approved – All parameters within limits; inventory/batch released.

  4. declined – One or more parameters outside limits; batch blocked.

  5. request fix (production only) – Deviation found, corrective action required; WIP paused until re‑test.

  6. re‑approved / overruled – Production Control can overturn earlier decision.
