The Distribution Table provides a user-friendly interface for manually assigning production items to specific production lines. This feature allows planners to have more control over the allocation of resources and optimize production efficiency.

Overview of the Distribution Table

The Distribution Table consists of two main sections:

• List of New Production Items: This section displays all newly created production items that are awaiting assignment to production lines.

• List of Production Lines: On the right side, a list of available production lines is presented for assignment.

How to Assign Production Items

1. Access the Distribution Table: Navigate to the Distribution Table page within the production planning module to view the lists of production items and production lines.

2. View Available Production Lines: The production lines listed on the right are filtered based on the compatibility with the selected production item. This means only those lines capable of producing the selected item will be shown, helping to streamline the assignment process.

3. Drag and Drop Assignment:

   • To assign a production item to a production line, simply click and hold the desired item from the list on the left.

   • Drag the production item over to the appropriate production line on the right.

   • Release the mouse button to complete the assignment.

4. Confirmation of Assignment: Once the item has been successfully assigned to a production line, it will disappear from the list of new production items and appear in the assigned line’s production schedule.

This manual assignment feature, through the Distribution Table, enhances the overall flexibility and efficiency of the production planning process, enabling better management of production lines.

Automated Assignment

In the Material settings within the Parametrization module, users can enable the Auto Assignment to line parameter for specific materials.

When this parameter is activated, any newly created Production Items associated with that material are automatically assigned to the end of the production queue on their default production line. This automation streamlines the assignment process, ensuring that new items are quickly and efficiently placed in the production workflow without the need for manual intervention.
